(1) A person who violates this section by carrying a pistol, without a license issued pursuant to District of Columbia law, or any deadly or dangerous weapon, in a place other than the person’s dwelling place, place of business, or on other land possessed by the person, shall be fined not more than $ 5,000 or imprisoned for not more than 5 years, or both; or

Doesn't seem to be a felony, but if the second use of "deadly or dangerous weapon" not being qualified with "capable of being so concealed" is meaningful, then the penalty is a fine of up to $5000, imprisonment of up to 5 years, or both.

If you want to argue that some elements in the Tea Party have been "racist", so be it, but people like Adam Kokesh are totally justified in their recent opposition to the administration's attempts at instituting more oppressive gun control laws.

I'm actually Scottish but part of a small group of people who wish to see gun control laws repealed here.
