No ones going to vote, are they? :?: :(

Treat this as if you were a dictator creating an age of majority law. ;)

You can't set a specific age (I assume mentally though). If it's physically, I believe it's at 22.

My one year old son was sitting in his little baby concentration camp area of the living room when some friends stopped by who also have a baby.

The other baby was scared initially, because he was in an unfamiliar environment. My son started handing him toys, albeit clumsily, and soon the other baby felt comfortable.

Then I look at the first few posts in this thread, and I wonder if maturity is always about age...

It depends on whether or not they hold the same political beliefs as myself.
"My loathings are simple: stupidity, oppression, crime, cruelty, soft music."
- Vladimir Nabokov US (1899 - 1977)
Also, me.
“Man has such a predilection for systems and abstract deductions that he is ready to distort the truth intentionally, he is ready to deny the evidence of his senses only to justify his logic”
- Fyodor Dostoyevsky Russian Novelist and Writer, 1821-1881
"All Clock Faces Are Wrong." - Gene Ray, Prophet(?) http://www.timecube.com
A simplified maxim on the subject states "An atheist would say, 'I don't believe God exists'; an agnostic would say, 'I don't know whether or not God exists'; and an ignostic would say, 'I don't know what you mean when you say, "God exists" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ignosticism

Biologically, I understand that it's about the mid twenties before the brain structure has fully reached that of an adult human. So that would be your answer.

I'd say around 21 or 22. Then again, some 32 year-olds have the maturity of most 16 year-olds.

The brain is ready around age 25. But that doesn't mean that the person is mature. Some people stay kids for the rest of their life. Others are very mature before age 25. Also take in account, that your brain is always learning (and thus developing) till you're death.

Certainly not below 20 at least. Of course, there's those annoying and dry kids that have pretended to be "mature" since 12 years of age, but that isn't exactly a sign of maturity in my opinion.

Personally I don't believe that maturity is some sort of contest. I see myself as mature when it comes to many fields, but at the same time I realize that I'm a bit immature because I often think in a short-sighted manner in everyday life and succumb to laziness. But oh well, I'm sure that will solve itself in time.

Some people never ever achieve maturity. :?

Different people become mature at their own time. I don't think there's a standard age for it. Some mature faster than others.
