It depends where you go. The defaults are all full of dickheads and lowest common denominator humour because the lowest common denominator tend to stick around there as it satisfies them.

The less known subreddits are usually a lot better. I say usually.

It's basically an easily way of keeping up to date with and participating in a subject/community that interests you. If you have an interest, there will probably be a community for it on Reddit.

It's not the best laid out place (although I personally have no problems with it) but if you find the right subs it can be very good.

Just fuck the defaults off straight away. F7U12 and atheism in particular can take a running jump.
