Should conservatism be illegal?

Just wondering, how much of the Republican Party is Conservatism? I was told it was more a mix of economic liberalism and is more so reactionay. Difference being I thought conservatism retaining as it is at the time and reactionary being more so changing it to how it was in the past. Though I don't pay much attention to the definitions so I would like it if someone could clear it up for me.

He doesn't care. His policy is to smite anything which could be considered conservative and establish a nation run by a single party system, consisting of only the Liberal Democracy Party (because the Democrats would be considered too Conservative and would be put to the smite)
