This is why people say to go by the amount of evidence backing up each theory, instead of what people want.

I mean Creationism. Not Just Christianity.

You can't just ban an ideology. At least, not a mainstream one. Nazism was not mainstream.

But then no creation theory would get any time.

And it would prevent them from learning any that their parents haven't already told them since birth, as they'd get no time to hear the arguments from all of them.

Yes. Please try it.

Education in North Korea is universal and state funded, with a claimed national literacy rate of 99%.[14] The country has a national medical service and claims to offer free healthcare. Conflicting accounts report that patients must pay.[14] Many hospitals lack basic medicine, equipment, running water, and electricity due to economic problems and minimal budget allocation; at approximately 1 dollar per person per year, lower than that of most African countries.[15] Housing and food rations traditionally have been heavily subsidized.[14] The means of production are owned by the state through state-run enterprises and collectivized farms.[14] Food output is one of the lowest worldwide, with the UN estimating 16 million people requiring food aid.[16][17]

North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il adopted Songun, or "military-first" policy in order to strengthen the country and its government.[18] North Korea is the world's most militarized country, with a total of 9,495,000 active, reserve, and paramilitary personnel. Its active duty army of 1.21 million is the 4th largest in the world, after China, the U.S., and India.[19] It is a nuclear-weapons state and has an active space program.[20][21][22]

So basically it isn't socialist.

What's sad is that they were excellent math, history, and English students. They were the ones who debate me on democratic socialism and honed my beliefs. They were the ones whom I debated the meaning of life with in English class. They were the ones who taught me Euler's Method, the Fundamental Theorems of Calculus, and Taylor's Polynomials in math class.

But apparently understanding evolution is just beyond their scope of intellect.

The whole 'common ancestry' concept when it comes to primates is often neglected or dramatically misunderstood by lesser minds. Back in the 19th century the people that were most virulently opposed to the teachings of Darwin were not hindered by actually having read his works. That attitude of deliberate ignorance still works beautifully in the 21st century.
CVT Temp wrote:I mean, we can actually create a mathematical definition for evolution in terms of the evolutionary algorithm and then write code to deal with abstract instances of evolution, which basically equates to mathematical proof that evolution works. All that remains is to show that biological systems replicate in such a way as to satisfy the minimal criteria required for evolution to apply to them, something which has already been adequately shown time and again. At this point, we've pretty much proven that not only can evolution happen, it pretty much must happen since it's basically impossible to prevent it from happening.
