Conservatism does more evil than good in society and government. Conservatism is ultimately the main reason that the United States is perhaps one the least developed and most socially backward first countries. Conservatism is the reason the U.S. economy is in a recession and dragged so many other economies down with it and it is the reason that the U.S. is lags behind so many other countries in regards to women's rights, secular rights, and lgbt rights. Conservatism is also the reason that the U.S. is the only first world country without universal healthcare. True patriotism is wanting what is best for your country and the fact is that conservatism is the main reason that the United States is a failure compared to most other first world countries. After World War 2 Germany passed laws that were aimed at destroying National Socialism to prevent it from rising again. Should this be done against Conservatism in the United States? If the Republican Party was banned then the United States would see a lot of economic and social progress so it would be for the greater good in my opinion.

You can't just ban an ideology. At least, not a mainstream one. Nazism was not mainstream.

What's sad is that they were excellent math, history, and English students. They were the ones who debate me on democratic socialism and honed my beliefs. They were the ones whom I debated the meaning of life with in English class.
