Not sure how I didn't catch that typo.
"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."—former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman

Ah, but "Barrack Obama" has never been President.

So would I. Another Democratic victory. That would make only one popular vote loss since 1992.

I would not like Rubio to win the nomination, because he might be a stronger candidate than most others who have expressed interest.

Rand Paul would be nice though. He would give the Dems, I think, a nice victory.

Anyways, I'd like to see Rand Paul or Marco Rubio run.

Same here with Marco, dont know about Rand Paul though...
What would things have been like if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive? Or if during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? The Organs would quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!

Rubio 2016!

Because 8 years of watching someone you didn't elect pull the strings on someone who didn't win the popular vote wasn't enough time spent fucking over the country!

All Rubio 2016 would be is a figurehead. "Oh look, we elected a Latino, now get the fuck out of the way wetback we're going to go full Conservative on this bitch."

Clinton seems like the best bet for the Democrats, and Christie for the Republicans.

Right, because the Republican Party is so well known for holding them back. I'm sorry, was the quote a little too accurate?

Hiliary needs to be deported to some 3rd world hell hole with some illegal aliens, I can't stand her and after 8 years of Obama, I fear 8 years of CLinton could destroy the country who knows maybe even extreme outside chance like .1% we'll see a second civil war cause of her. Anyway I don't like her enough said. As for Republican, Rubio might be ok, the ideal is something involving one (or both  ) of Drs. Paul, that would be awesome. Christie's OK but with the gun issue I think he'll be a long shot in the primary, but could make a strong showing in the general. If Rick runs again Ill  all primary season long ditto for any bush or shrubs  As for democrats, I don't know, barring Clinton, Kerry might run again, it would be hilarious if Joe Bite-ME decides to run, might as well just give the election to the republicans then. Elizabeth Warren would be an interesting choice and has the grassroots but I fear she's still too divisive to stand against a strong republican challenger. Don't know any Democrat govs out there? Maybe Bloomberg, his ego way outruns his power as mayor (even given it's new york) or Pataki he's still NY gov right? Anyway just my thoughts.

A second civil war is as likely as an uprising of the proletariat in the US.

Hilary with Beau Biden as running mate vs. Jeb Bush with Tagg Romney as running mate, so we can have an eerie feeling of deja vu

Warren is a solid pick for 2016. The USA could use a solid progressive candidate instead of this moderate kowtowing to the financial industry but paying lip service to the left Obama bullshit.
The history of progress is written in the blood of men and women who have dared to espouse an unpopular cause.
