No. You can be heterosexual and be a reasonable person (i.e., one who realizes that homosexuality is a normal attraction).

How else should I interpret your statement that homosexuality is not normal to you, and that you have never experienced it? That you only empathize about the things you have a personal experience about.

For the record, the "born that way" or "it's a choice" thing isn't an accurate dichotomy. I don't believe people are born gay (and won't until somebody can prove its genetic), but I also don't believe its a conscious choice. I believe sexuality is a psychological aspect, part of your personality.

Latest research indicates it is epigenetic, more pecisely by accidentially inheriting the genetic switches from the parent of the opposite gender (usually they are inherited from the parent of the same gender). Bisexuality is most likely based on inheriting both switches, and asexuality on inheriting none. Given that this affects you in the womb, you are pretty much born with it.

Then again, some parts of our epigenetic makeup are affected my various things in our life, througout our life, so it is theoretically possible that this also changes. And then there are cases in which at least bisexuality is an acquired taste.
