Lesbian Teacher in Ohio Fired

This makes me so ashamed to live near this school. Carla Hale, according to the school was not fired for being a lesbian, but because he relationship was publicized in her mother's obituary.
I don't even know where to start with this. Sure, she taught at a Catholic school, but it is also illegal in Columbus to discriminate based on sexuality.

Yes, in some cases. My family is Catholic and we went to a church run by monks. It was the best church ever, and had no problems with evolution or gays. When the local bishop came over and told people to vote against allowing gay marriage, one of our priests was visibly angry. They had a school too, so I wouldn't say all Catholic schools are terrible.

Not exactly sure why everyone is blaming the school for this, when it was administrators of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Columbus that terminated Carla Hale's employment.
