It's disrespectful. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. A president that idolizes communist revolutionaries. That's worrisome.

I'll hate Obama for not respecting the flag when the flag shows me something deserving of respect.

Sources for what? He wrote in his book how he picked out his professors in college. He had a Cuban flag with Che at a campaign office. He has advisors telling him that capitalism must be dismantled brick by brick.

It seems he really only said he wanted to distance himself from the Establishment when he was younger, whats the BFD? I mean unless you love the Establishment, Sibirsky. Honestly if he wasn't anti-establishment as a youngster I would be concerned, myself.

1. His Book, haven't read it yet, so I can't argue that point
2. Seriously? Was it him who had it put up, or a supporter who put it up by himself? If he had it put up, it might be reason to be worried.

2. It was a campaign worker. Really, you do not see any similarity between him and other socialists? I see plenty.
3. No. I forgot, too damn tired to look. Maybe later.

As far as I can tell, he was describing his friends in his college days, of course he'd be a "rebel" back then.

So, because you haven't changed your mind since college, he must not have been able to drift to the center at all? I personally think he's not leftist enough, I am just not seeing a commitment to Socialism or Communism. I don't see the bailouts as fitting into my vision of Socialism at any rate. That is more what I consider to be Corporatism. Socialized medicine I would support but he seems unlikely to accomplish that in his administration.

2. Of course there are some similarities, but not many. Ugh, give me a few minutes, I will see if I can compare his policies to some prominent Socialists. If you have any policies you really need compared, tell me. Othewise, I will go down the The Socialist Party of the USA's website and compare their position on issues to Obama's

NAFTA: The Socialist Party of the USA policy on NAFTA(On their Website): 1. We demand the immediate withdrawal of the United States from the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA), and oppose the creation of a widened Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA). Vs Obama's Policy: Wants to renegotiate it
Obviously quite different.

Minimum Wage: SPOUSA's position: 3. We call for a minimum wage of $15 per hour, indexed to the cost of living. vs Obama: Barack Obama will increase the minimum wage and index it to the rate of inflation.
Similar? Yes. But Obama's is far less extreme.

Insurance: SPOUSA'a 5. We call for all financial and insurance institutions to be socially owned and operated by a democratically-controlled national banking authority, which should include credit unions, mutual insurance cooperatives, and cooperative state banks. In the meantime, we call for re-regulation of the banking and insurance industries. vs The Public Option for one insurance industry.

World Bank and all that: 9. We oppose the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the World Trade Organization as instruments of capitalist oppression throughout the world.(lolwut?) vs. Obama doing nothing and saying nothing against the World Bank

Alright, I am stopping for now. Anymore issues you want compared, say so.

Why would you only want to have professors who agree with you about everything? Sounds like a great way to learn absolutely nothing.

If you think the President is being disrespectful in this picture, you don't understand US Flag Code.

And it's fine if you actually don't like the president because he didn't wear the pin you wanted him to wear...but I hope you also dislike John McCain for the same reason:

And we know you'll just love Sarah Palin:

You can dislike the man for whatever reason you want...even if they are ridiculous reasons.
