Its so fun to blame people for something they didn't do and hate them for it.

only in America could someone winning a noble peace prize be a BAD thing. Honestly, if the Nobel commitee thought he earned it, then who the fuck are you to argue? Have you become president? Have you done anything to even come close to earning it? No? Thought so, so please STFU about this kinda thing.

Hey! I've done things to earn it, I:

  • Plant trees, I mean they never grow--and usually by "plant" I mean drive halfway to the area where I'm intended to plant them and get a bunch of burgers with my buddies and then we drive home and see the trees in the trunk and just toss them in the woods. But I mean animals make nests in them right? Yeah, there.
  • Help little kids find the meaning in se--er--crossing the street with a guardian or older sibling(s).
  • I hug strangers and pay the medical bills for them after beating them half to death in response to smacking a beer bottle across my head.
  • I helped a lobster once, I went with grilling instead of boiling: far less cruel.
  • I kiss babies, a lot.
  • I fight sooociiiety to my last breath.

So don't tell me I haven't done enough to earn it.

I mean you only see Barack Obama doing like, three of those things--four max.

The Prize was meant as encouragement, not reward (according to MOST of the members of the Panel...), and this explains why Obama's camp was not so happy about it, because it just further increases expectations.

Already addressed that one
hasn't accomplished anything... and is all talk...
Um, didn't we shut down Guantanamo, finalize plans to pull out of Iraq and pass weak Climate legislation? Don't forget Sonia Sotomayor.

and he spent more in his first month in office than we have in Iraq and Afghanistan combined...
*cough* Congress *cough* also, Source?

and the media glazes over all his mistakes...
As per my first point, this little argument would be used to attack the media, not the President

and he is taking advantage of an economic crisis to remove freedoms from our economic system...
Yes, those freedoms helped our economy so much in the long run...

all these can be verified with a little research enjoy
Ugh, now I have to scroll down, and click on the source you posted, although the only thing that stood up was the Iraq spending claim, which I doubt is true.

Oh wait, your source was on illiteracy. Darn *snaps fingers*

Now I sit and wait for Buffy to destroy your argument further, and more concisely then I have.

Yeah, I'll give him that, but does he spend weeks of his time in cannibalistic societys to teach the cannibals how to kill their food less violently?

I don't think so.

Yeah, but can he fly?

No, neither can I: that's where we meet common ground--literally.

Unless he goes in a plane, because he can afford it, unlike me.

I'm poor.

Are you implying that creating a crappy solution to a global issue is a good thing? Or that Sonia Sotomayor deserved it? And no, he didn't close down Guantanamo yet. And no, he didn't even pass the weak climate legislation, it's still waiting to get out of the Senate, being covered by thousands of pages of useless, cross-referencing healthcare legalese.

Yeah, PETA started bitching over that, and said that he could have gotten rid of the poor annoying fly without taking its worthless life. There was a thread on NSG about it a few months ago, and I'm astonished that some posters actually agreed with PETA.
