No. Because my left wing foreigner arse will use my evil magik to further erode the UK economy.

Admitting you fucked up is hard enough as an average person, if your entire political career rests upon whether or not you fuck up, it's even harder to admit you fucked up.

Austerity in the face of a failing economy is, for want of a better word, stupid. Just look at how a flawed study on the relationship between debt and GDP has contributed to keeping the recovery soft.

Especially in the Uk's case as their debt isn't even that bad. The austerity policies of nations such as the UK that are not that bad off is hurting the chances of recovery of nations like Spain and Portugal who are actually in great trouble. When the UK implements austerity it causes less to be imported thus making the periphery economies even worse off.

The government will go for the trifecta. Scrounger foreigners causing bad weather with their evil foreigner magik caused the economy to not recover.

We have a premier who keeps saying we should spend more money in order to get the economy going, but leaves us with absolutely nothing after taxes - which are, by the way, rising again this year - and passes austerity measures that damage businesses, schools, universities, hospitals and a lot more. It seems a lot of countries in Europe have become vessels adrift between complete collapse and feigned recovery.
