Used to be racists against JEWS. (I was fooled by some Nazi propaganda few years ago) I thought the jews were subhuman, and they didn't deserve to be rich. I also thought that communism and capitalism both sucked. I have changed alot since then. The jews did nothing wrong. Communism was actually a good idea. Apologies to the Jews:

As much as I love the aesthetics of the 3rd Reich, I've never understood how anyone can find Nazi propaganda convincing. When I was a little kid, I rooted for the Nazis in war movies because I liked their uniforms and flags, but I immediately stopped when I was introduced to Hitler and had the ideology explained to me. Hitler just totally turned me off. Still does.

This is an interesting aspect; sort of a self-perpetuating paradigm. There is this common notion in the conservative camp that jews do get special treatment, which I personally think is true in mediocre amounts and under very specific circumstances. However, by how often this accusation gets repeated, a substantial part of society forms to speak up against the accusation. The perpetuation of this argument alone makes Jews special in public discourse, and through the "jew-supporting" participants of the discourse, Jews do get a special treatment, i.e. in this case, the fact that someone instantly came to the defense particularly of the Jews.

This is not an accusation, just an interesting observation on human culture, in a way.

The Stalhelm is still around but in slightly modified forms. The design was very innovative for its time in protecting the ears and lower neck.
Some Stalhelm inspired helmets that have been used in recent decades or at present- include the PASGT, MICH TC-2000, and the USMC's lightweight helmet. Various SWAT teams and police forces around the world have donned Stalhelm like helmets. This design lives on because it is both functional and has aesthetic appeal. Simply put, it looks awesome.

I admit I too used to be racist, but ironically now I'm one of the most radical anti-racists now. It all started in school when I was picked on constantly by a gang of thugs who happened to be of the same ethnicity. In my ignorance I turned my hatred against that ethnicity. What changed me was befriending people of that ethnicity, and come to the realization that my racist side was fueled by indiscriminate rage, and I realized that wasn't me. I have reformed now however, and actually now I believe education about tolerance and equality be mandated for everyone everywhere, and extra emphasis on those who refuse to listen.

I don't think i've ever been a racist. I don't really even see race to be honest with you. What I mean by that is that I don't look at a person of a certain skin color and think "stealing my job" or "freed slave." And on the liberal side of racism, I don't look at a black guy and thing "oppressed victim" and I don't look at whites and think "Overprivalged opressor." I just see people who are born equal and have the equal opportunity to succeed. I make no judgements based on skin color, but on character.

In the schools I attended, people of color were almost never punished for fighting, theft, vandalism, swearing in class etc.
they would always pull the race card because the principal and 99% of the teachers were white. They always got away with it too, because the school was too afraid of law suits to instill any sort of order.

Someone tried that at my middle school and they were very embarrassed when they found out the principal, who they had accused of discriminating against their son, was black.

That happened at my school in 8th grade, except instead of Principal it was History Teacher.

If you used to be racist, what was it that changed your mind? Getting to know people of other races, realizing they weren't below me in any way.

I got to know people of other races, and they changed my mind - but not in the way they changed yours. I grew up in an all-white neighbourhood and went to all-white schools, and at the end of the day I was a fanatical multiculturalist. Then I went to university, and for the first time in my life I came across large groups of 'minorities' in public transport and on the campus, and now I consider myself a white nationalist. I don't want to pay for these people, and I don't want them living near me. Of all dozens I've had to speak to so far, exactly none were even remotely friendly, and all were rude.

We're polar opposites now.

That's unfortunate.

I'll admit, I've had some very bad experiences with black people, including one case of attempted rape, one of sexual harassment which the police had to break up, and one guy who was so willfully obtuse when I said I wanted to go home that I eventually had to just stand up, grab my things and head for the door without any pretense of bringing the conversation to an end or saying a polite goodbye. Afterward, he asked if I would be willing to have sex with him if we were at my place instead of his.

Nothing like this has ever happened to me with men of any other race. I've had unwanted attention from white guys, but never anyone who was so persistent and never anyone who resorted to physical force or intimidation. Latinos and Asians have never bothered me even with unwanted flirting.

On the other hand, I've also met some black guys who were perfectly nice. Keeping your guard up if you've had bad experiences is not prejudice. It's common sense. But you should still try to give people a chance so that you don't miss out on a nice conversation with one of the good people. You shouldn't write someone off completely until they've at least said or done something to give you an idea what kind of person they are.

Hahahaha, no. I was one of the only East Asians living in my area, and my interest was rather in Japanese traditional music, architecture, cherry blossoms, and aesthetics.

They do have a really beautiful traditional culture. I am a big fan of Japanese architecture and woodblock prints.

That day, I learned to not mess with rich white folks with an agenda. Did the experience make me hate white people? A little.

Throughout a typical day, I find myself saying extremely racist comments about all races in my in my head.


Example:

-Ew. Look at the fucking vato (Mexican) over there

-God I hate Asians sometimes. They try too hard to be white.

I never say these out loud, nor do I really feel this way all the time. But thoughts like these cross my mind occasionally.

But most of my "hatred" is hatred of a certain individual than hatred of the entire race.
