Like I've said in another thread:

No civilization lasts forever. Ours will come to the end too, sooner or later; the second - or, rather, the fourth - dark age will come again. All we can do is delay it as far as possible. And these days, the axe that will end our civilization is already in sight. It's the Islam. Rule of the religious courts over all issues. Women forced to wear heavy black draping. Jihad against the civilization. Just look at how people live where the Islamic fundamentalists take power. If it's not the second Dark Age, nothing is.

Of course, there is a hope. There is a difference between the fall of all previous civilizations and ours. They didn't have the power to defeat the invaders - we do. Knowing that, they are infiltrating us from the inside, relying on our mercy, pity and guilt to hold our hand from striking, until it's too late. If we just open our eyes, we will see the threat, and if we quench the undeserved mercy in our hearts, we can use our powers to defeat the enemy. This time, things just might turn out different; at least I hope so, and what is life without hope? It's ironic that nuclear arms have become our last hope for survival, but the history is always full of irony.

Our last, best hope for peace is BNP.

Unfortunately, the chances of them winning the US elections are not as good as they could be, but I've still voted for them as a write-in.

For those concerned with my reasoning that sooociiiety will cause civilization's collapse, and what I mean by it:

On the issue of Sooociiiety.

First of all, a key thing to comprehend is the simple Property that states society =/= sooociiiety.

Society is defined as - "the manner or condition in which the members of a community live together for their mutual benefit. By extension, society denotes the people of a region or country, sometimes even the world, taken as a whole."

Sooociiiety is defined as - "the result of conflicting chaotic beings, functions, incidents, or presences in a society in which said society is contorted and prone to install idiocy in its memebers; often encompensating large countries or the world as a whole."

Factors of a sooociiiety include things such as:

• Immense and increasingly present misconceptions of beauty.
• Misconceptions of true musical quality.
• Increased average human idiocy.
• Increased lack of comprehension of philosophical principles.
• Power grabs by celebrities.
• Increased media bias.
• Decreased positive human productivity.
• Contorted religious upset.
• Conspiracy theories.
• Political upset and division.

Sooociiiety is painted by a facade that makes it appear as artistic and beneficial to humanity through many processes: music and graffitti are two examples. Passionate rap songs try and fool the masses, yet they are still just as evil as their counterparts.

Figures such as Miley Cyrus, Kanye West, Rihanna, T-Pain, Barack Obama, Adam Sandler, Stephanie Meyer, Miranda Cosgrove, Sarah Palin, and Chris Rock are heads of modern day sooociiiety: called agents of sooociiiety.

Products of spoociiiety are equally harmful but are often not as guilty as the agents who produce them.

Sooociiiety must be annihilated for humanity to prosper and survive as a race--it is the root of all evil.

And there's no arguing with me, like North Suran stated:

Although confusing society with sooociiiety, he's pretty much correct.

Nuclear war of course. And survive? Eh. I'll be more concerned with looting. I'd like to be as drunk and high as possible before I die.

Nuclear war on that scale is in my opinion not the most likely end.

I see three main possibilities from here on out:

1. Global Civilization becomes interplanetary (perhaps eventually interstellar) civilization, and while individual societies may die, humanity as a whole continues to thrive.

2. Global Civilization is hit by one or more of various plausible catastrophies (Nuclear War, Climate Change, Economic Crashes, Terrorism, Increased Government Authoritarianism/Bigotry/Theocracy, Pandemics, Severe Pollution are all posibilities if not inevitabilities). I doubt any one would finish our civilization (maybe nuclear war, severe climate change, or a really bad pandemic), but all of them together may be more than our governments, societies, and economies can handle. The result is either an outright collapse, or a continual decay as we fall back to a pre-industrial level. Possibly we simply run out of key resources.

3. We build artificial life forms that replace us, which will then face the same choice between option one and option two.

I suspect that human civilization will collapse when a slight miscalculation in attempting to liquefy the upper six feet of all land in the world into mud goes horribly wrong. ...unless a massive horde of space otters beats me to it and engulfs the planet.

Hm, well global population was quite a bit smaller. I don't know that it is possible or not, but it would certainly be the collapse of society as we know it if we had to revert to an era when the majority of people were farmers again.

Civilization will collapse when the elevator repairmen of the world go on strike. It will continue as normal for a couple weeks, but then, one by one the elevators will start to breakdown. At first, people will just go use other elevators, but the added wear and tear will cause those elevators to break too. Scarcity will breed violence, and bloody skirmishes for the use of the few remaining elevators will become the norm, tens of millions will die each work week.
Finally, the last elevators will stop working. All around the world, people trying to get to work will just stop in the lobby, say "Maybe I'll try the stairs," realize that they work on the eighth floor, say, "Fuck it," and go home. People living in apartments will just live in the street, because the stairs always smell like pee. Lawyers, accountants, government officials and hard-boiled private detectives will not be visited.
People stranded at the highest floors will start to starve, unable to reach the ground floor for fear of setting off the fire alarm attached to the emergency stairs. Eventually, they will throw themselves out the windows, crashing to the street.
There will be some attempt to reconcile with the elevator repairmen at the last moment, but it will be to late. Millions of distraught citizens patrolling the ground level of every city will have already killed all the elevator repairmen in a vigilante rage.

I myself will do quite well in this post-apocalyptic wasteland, as I will become one of the "Scalers." Those brave, unhinged individuals who always took the stairs anyway, even before the great Grounding. My years of claustrophobia and impatience have made me perfectly adapted to scaling 10 story heights without developing embarrassing pit stains or passing out from exhaustion. I shall make a fortune climbing to the heady heights of the 17th floor and above, and become famous up and down the east coast for being able to carry a fully stocked mini-fridge down from the top floor.

I was picturing more of a Steampunk Utopia where existing technology is run by Steam Engines...guess thats too much to hope for,
