Well Spain has different languages (as you know of course :p), Catalan, Basque, Galician, etc. So calling a language that dominated Spain but didn't really represented all Spain (as it came from the Castilian Kingdom) is kind of (in my option) unfair? I dunno. Besides I have been grown up calling "Spanish" Castellano. :p
