Nope, he has not shown any special talents and skills. Signing pieces of paper and repeating what a speech writer tells you to say is not a special talent. Being a successful major league player is harder (yes, there are more but only because there are more spots available). We also have hundreds of politicians at lower levels that do the same things but on a smaller scale.

Most powerful person is debateable. Kim Jong Un has more power. If Obama orders his child killed than he will likely go to jail. Kim Jong Un can order 100 children killed for no reasonable reason and he will still be in his leadership role.

Obama has to deal with checks and balances. Dictators don't.

The USA has more power but it is not in the hands of 1 man. The president also has to follow most of the laws everybody else does.

Obama is still the most powerful person in the world. He is the leader of a world hegemony. Kim Jong Un is a tinpot dictator that no one likes. Obama has command of hundreds of nukes, Kim doesn't have control of the one he has.

Can Obama launch those nukes by himself? What if he wants to attack Texas for voting against him? Can anybody stop him? If so he does not have 100% power and is not a god.

God doesn't need anybodys help when he decides to wipe out a town in Indonesia with a tsunami.

God is a tough father. Not many fathers will create diseases that kill their children. Most fathers will try to save their children from dangerous animals/insects instead of creating trillions of them to hurt and kill their children. Should we hate God? No, he also created good things as well and he gave us life.

God loves us BUT also wants to make life hard so we aren't spoiled. His will is not always understandable.

While I am a Christian, I looked at something. Could God have made the big bang happen? (which by the way has a couple of things that could hint at it but has no actual proof which is why it is till a theory) The Hebrew translation of days means eons in English. (or something similar to that) So, seven days could be seven eons, which is more than enough time for the big bang to happen. It's still hard to say though. Many scientiffic studies in the past that we thought were true by all means and indiputable have been proven wrong. We still know almost nothing about the universe.

How sure are people of the big bang? Not being much smart in the subject I do not know so in the poll I picked the third option believing maybe there is possibly something besides the Big Bang. I pretty much doubt a God created the world in seven days but if somehow Gods reveals itself to exist, shows it is all powerful not limited by the universe and science, and admits to have made the world in seven days then I will believe. Such a God could have planted "evidence" to support the Big Bang for whatever reason.

Anyway, again, so yeah, I picked the third option not knowing what percent sure scientists are in this Big Bang. Though it seems by the poll most of NSG strongly believes in the Big Bang only.

The Big Bang theory is not perfect. Our knowledge of the universe is not perfect. It is expanding, and our theories will improve over time.

Intelligent Design, and the "God-Made-Everything" theory have NO SCRAP of anything to support them. Realistic theories being imperfect, such as the Big Bang theory does not grant any credibility to these religious theories.

I asked a religious studies teacher on this once. If I recall correctly he said that it wasn't specifically 6 earth days.

In my beliefs, 1 day in the afterlife = 50,000 earth years. So basically, the definition of time lengths in religious texts, unless explicitly stated, would be open to interpretation.

To everyone who claims there was "nothing" before the big bang, you have absolutely no proof of that. As a matter of fact, we have no proof of any theory on the topic, because we still can't even explain what caused the big bang in the first place. There are dozens of theory out there, ranging from "our universe was created by two colliding universes" (multiverse theory) to "the universe was first one giant superstring" (string theory).

We can't even say if there was time until the big bang and therefore whether the phrase "before the big bang" is even sensible.
