Even if they don't produce a Higgs Boson it will still be useful, because it will have established a lower limit to its mass. Oh, and I hear they can give helicopters cancer...

This is just like the ridiculous reason the Hubble didn't work when first put in orbit.

Poor senile old God isn't as omnipotent as He once was. Needs a little time to jury rig a Higgs Boson so we can find it. So He did a little miracle with a bird and some bread, just like he did a little miracle with the lens in the Hubble.

But if we're patient, I'm sure we will find very interesting stuff, just like we did when the Hubble got working a year or two late.

He may not be fully omnipotent, but making all those primitive galaxies is pretty impressive work, for a few earth-years. Higgs boson will probably likewise be worth waiting for.

It probably wears a tutu, and moves like Michael Jackson, and gives us the key to unlimited energy production. And looks a whole lot more like God than the mind of Stephen Hawking does.

(This could have been funny. I know, I know ... too drunk now.)

I'm not quite sure what to say about this particular situation. But I do think that bird had some nerve. It also likely has a quarky personality .

His Jedi mind tricks are insignificant compared to the power of Buffy's sex appeal.
