A South Korean woman is celebrating after passing the written exam for a driving licence - on her 950th attempt.

So have any of you ever had to go to extreme lengths to get what you're looking for?
was this woman obsessed or right to try so so so...so so so many times?
Would you be able to do this?
:p

950 times?

Anyway, in Mario Kart Wii, I kept trying the same shortcut (going over the narrow chasm in GCN DK Mountain) without going up the hill on the opposite side, for what seemed like forever, but could never get it down. The bike kept turning too much.

Yes.

And no, unless I absolutely had to do/have X for some reason.

With sufficient enlightenment we can give substance to any distinction.

I can't believe they'd let someone test that many times. If you can't pass after the first 2 tries, you should have to wait a year.

That would encourage people to drive without a license.

I don't know about that. If they let everyone pass so easily then it'd be just as bad. If someone is willing to retake the test so many times then they won't be driving without a licence.

I prefer the German system -- you take defensive-driving courses in trying conditions, pass a theoretical exam, spend about 1000€ or so to get a licence, then you retest in five years. Oh, and it's all with a manual.
