Put on a zorro mask and drive and tell me how much peripheral vision you have

Anyone who has driven in Kuwait would know that most people are reckless drivers and that it's mostly young men who drive with no concern for the well-being of others on the road.

Provided they benefit from said progress by the looks.

Why else would you move forward socially? Human rights  A secular pushback  Money though always makes people do things they otherwise wouldn't do.

Women need to be allowed to drive. How else are they getting to the markets to buy food for dinner?

Yes, because we should totally ignore the attacks on our rights on our own fucking soil. Okay.

Many of us American feminists (because all feminists are American, right? ) do indeed direct quite a bit of energy toward Saudi Arabia, but it's hard to direct any energy anywhere when you're caring for loads of children you can't afford to feed OR DYING IN CHILDBIRTH and can't do much to stop this because a bunch of old guys in the government think blastocysts take precedence over women's choices, rights, and lives. Excuse the fuck out of us for focusing on our own country.

Oh, and no feminist would ever be so ignorant as to believe the US was the most patriarchal, woman-hating country in the world. We're well aware of what's going on outside the US, but since we're in the US, we can't do much in Saudi Arabia.
