Holy crap, that's a lot. So the bomb was in the middle of the crowd?

Apparently they found more bombs? I'm looking at Twitter and Reddit atm. Also 100 treated at hospital, my mistake.

Supposedly there's a badly injured "person of interest" at a hospital near the explosion site.

Yup.

Just explaining that in a situation as this, panicked people who's extent of what a device looks like is based on video games and Hollywood, tend to view everything and anything as a possible device.

Just an update for everyone,

the Boston Police report 2 Dead and 23 now injured. Pennsylvania Avenue (Near the White House) has been closed as reported by the white house secretary

2 bombs went off and a third incident (fire) is reported to have happened at the JFK Library

MSNBC's Chris Matthews was talking to a former FBI member who is calling this "Similar to the beginning of the 9/11 attacks" Many eyewitness who have reported in are saying there was too much going on for a cognitive response. The bombs white smoke is said to have been a low grade bomb unsimilar to military C4 so the bomb must have been amaturely made

It was at the finish line, where the crowd is usually the largest.

Remembering that it was really a terrorist attack, another can happen anytime anywhere in the country.

I'm going with the people who actually work at the place reported to have been bombed. They say they weren't bombed. I trust they didn't miss an explosion.

Got to bear in mind that "injured" covers everything from severed limbs to a scraped knee.

From what I hear, that was an electrical fire, not a bomb.

No, the JFK Library denied it on twitter..obviously no sources would be needed for that as well

The police are saying they're treating it as a bomb for now, since no one is truly certain if it was a bomb or a fire.

Well yeah, those were my thoughts.

But I'm wondering why the police say otherwise. I don't wanna call it either way.
