To be fair, CNN wasn't that far behind. At least not on the live broadcast I watched (I can't speak to their website). CNN said he had been taken into custody about 1-2 minutes after I made this post based on the live feed of the police scanner. When I made this post, CNN had confirmed it and were reporting on the BPD tweet. So, as I said, at least on their live broadcast they didn't still think he was cornered at this time.
