1.) a dedicated closed cubicle for smokers to smoke. This way the exhaled smoke is contained, the smokers can re-inhale the exhaled smoke. The smokers are happy, the general public who does not smoke are happy, the environment is happy, and... both the medical and funeral services becomes a healthy money making machine.
2.) raise taxes to cigarettes and the like to a point that smoking a typical cigarette cost like smoking marijuana, this way the government is happy, the smokers' family is happy... well except the smokers, but you can't please everyone.

Smoke if private property allows you to, otherwise I don't want to smell your death on my way to work.

I don't want to see ugly people. They get me mad and raise my blood pressure which will lead to a heart attack down the road. Ban ugly people.

Well maybe not BAN. But if we just made separate areas where they could go and be ugly together it'd be okay. Ugly people would be happy, I'd be happy, everyone wins!

You can't seriously think either of these are valid arguments. A purely hypothetical and (if real) quite rare condition in relation to the sight of ugly people is in no way equivalent to proven effects of secondhand smoke which affect more or less everyone exposed to it.

Stress causes heart attacks. Ugly people can cause stress, just like second hand smoke *can* be harmful. Its the same thing.
If you ban smoking you must ban ugly people. Or segregate ugly people. They are both health hazards.

Just stop. Really. You're more intelligent than this, I know it.

Secondhand smoke is bad for you, more bad for you than lots of other things. It is therefore reasonable to try to prevent secondhand smoke in public places. It is unreasonable to suggest we also ban things which are not nearly as bad for you - especially something as ridiculous as "ugly people".
I fail to see where my argument is wrong or where anything else needs to be said. Your right to swing your first - or take a puff, as it were - stops at the bridge of my nose - or rather, my nostrils.

I really doubt that.
And we also seriously need to cut down on most of the things that are in car exhaust - it is even more of a problem than smoking, but it doesn't have as simple a solution as "don't smoke around other people".

I really doubt secondhand smoke causes that many problems too.
And we don't need to do anything of the sort.
