I remember a fast food place (I think it was Burger King rather than McDonalds) in Philly that did that, too. Some do here, but it's a tossup whether they do or not. In my observation, McDonalds in areas with a higher black customer base tend to have mayo more than others - but to back to your southern thing, that could be because a lot are either southern transplants or descendants of southern migrants who came north. Probably the same reason the best bbq places tend to be in black neighborhoods (up here, at least, not sure about the south).

Best BBQs in the south are the ones little black churches run to raise funds for church.
A pity they are never opened on Sundays.

Ha... fast food can pass as a date here too, you bring a girl to KFC, McDonals, etc. then go to the movie.

In Korea the strangest thing I ever experienced was waiting an hour to get a table at Pizza hut.
It was a sit down restaurant, waiter takes your order the whole nine.

I support peace in Israel and Palestine. The governments and people in power on all sides are an absolute disgrace, and their unwillingness to pursue peace is a disservice to the people they are meant to be serving. The status quo is not simply untenable; it is unquestionably unacceptable.

Makes sense, BBQ takes time to cook, so at a slow station you can have an attendant watch the meat cook and handle the gas sales.

The churches normally pay their Reverend about 12,000 for his religious duties and then set him up with a BBQ joint he runs during the week. If he pays himself then dumps the other proceeds into the church the local taxing authority will often give it religious exemption. Many a church service I have talked into with the promise of free BBQ afterwards.

It's a small grill in the sun. The hair salon down the street has a massive charcoal grill they sell from, though, that's great too.

Fast food chains in my country, unfortunately, are local menus.

Mustard on hamburgers is common where I live. I hate mustard, though.

The only local food we have here is Lincolnshire sausages or faggots. I don't recall either being served in any fast food chain here, so I'll have to say no.

There are chains of fast food that has sprung up serving butter burgers or square pizza (Little Caesar's and Jet's Pizza). The square pizza is a Detroit-styled pizza and oddly enough both Little Caesar's and Jet's were founded in or around Detroit. The round Brooklyn style pizza is cheaper at Little Caesar's though.

I really don't think we have any special catering here in the UK. mainly because our fast food establishments far outnumber all the Americanized ones. Mcdonalds and that may run a few specials occasionally that are tangentially British but really if you want any British fast food you just go to a chippy, or Indian seeing as most of the dishes they serve were invented in the UK too

They serve chips, which are made from potatoes, which are as close to a "local food" as we have. So yeah, I suppose.

It seems to me that the so-called jalapenos we get up here in the Northeast are very wimpy cousins of the ones I enjoyed in Oklahoma.

That even goes for Taco Bell. The Tulsa taste was fast foodish but still had a Tex Mex zip to it; this stuff up here is just all bland. Even the "Volcano" taco.

Hawaii. The McDs and Burger Kings have Spam on their menu.

And for people retching after reading that, people *love* Spam in Hawaii. It's the state with possibly the largest Spam consumption per capita.
Crimes committed by Muslims will be a pan-Islamic plot and proof of Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of loners who do not represent their belief system at all.
The probability of one's participation in homosexual acts is directly proportional to one's public disdain and disgust for homosexuals.
If a political figure makes an accusation of wrongdoing without evidence, odds are probable that the accuser or an associate thereof has in fact committed the very same act, possibly to a worse degree.

Yeah. If a cop has a hair across his ass you get the "What are you doing in the number streets?" spiel. It can get bothersome.
