of course, when it's a really important issue, they somehow manage to seperate Wales from the English Midlands![]()

You get what you pay for, that chip one had 5000+ respondents and so much more expensive than the 1800 or so the Thatcher poll had. You should really learn some basics about polling before making suggestions like that tbh.

I know plenty about social research methodology thank you very much, having worked in the area for many years, and I can spot a shit poll when i see one.
Combining a largely labour/plaid cymru small populated NATION with a largely conservative, largely populated AREA of England is just ridiculous, the areas have little in common either culturally, linguistically or politically. It would make just as much sense to combine the Midlands viewpoint with that of the Belgians![]()
If this poundshop poll cannot manage to grasp the simple fact that the three main political entities that make up Great Britain are Scotland, England and Wales, and make that their starting point before subdividing any further, I think that any conclusions should be taken with a very large pinch of salt....it's at best very lazy polling, a first year undergrad could do a better job, even with such minimal data.

BBC receives 268 complaints saying coverage biased in favour of Thatcher, and 227 saying it was biased against her

They're going to do a news segment in the chart explaining the song and why it's where it is and play 5 seconds of it.
Because apparently the criteria for appearing on the charts are no longer "selling enough copies to get onto the charts"; they've been widened to "selling enough copies for the right reasons to get onto the charts".

I'm pretty young (which as far as I know means I'm only allowed to say good things) but I still remember waking up one day and turning the channel fruitlessly to find every channel covered in Dianas funeral and now your post has made me very very worried about the poor kids of today and their morning cartoon prospects and ugh.
