No. Just...no.

I'm not a freaking feminist and I made this exact same argument using different terms. You look through the history of mankind and being considered "male" is better, by far, than being considered female.

The title didn't say "trans man", it said "trans person".

If you date a trans man it might be more complicated, but you'll still have to be a bit gay.

No. You don't. I'm not gay in the slightest. Masculinity is unattractive to me. Femininity, however, is.

If you think patriarchy is in any way synonymous with "teh ebul men," I can see why you're confused by it.

Namely, because you apparently don't read, given that the very post you're responding to actually simply and explicitly defines patriarchy in a way that has nothing to do with anyone being "ebul."

this is one of those cases where the hierarchical structure of gender in our society is one hell of a clear explanation.

The concept of self-loathing your own identity is not unheard of at all.

Sexism alone means there's people out there who hate themselves for being trans.

I love transsexuals <3

They appreciate everything of their chosen gender their initially opposite sex takes for granted.

I think, what he means to say is, you have to be secure in your sexuality, and not be frightened of being perceived as gay.

More like classical US liberalism or modern European arch-liberalism.

Something similar to this bloke: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erik_von_Kuehnelt-Leddihn ? Got there by googling the-previously-unknown-to-me term 'arch-liberalism'. Like a stake in society-sort of guy? :)

Yes. I would date an animal.

Because frankly, the idea of going out with something that isn't a Eukaryote that ingests and digests living material frightens me. Call me bigoted.

I don't think people who'd date transsexuals are being honest with themselves if they proclaim to be straight. Maybe they're not secure in their sexuality.
