Not a 2007 Toyota Prius that has simply been modified to look like it was a 1966 Dodge Charger. I want only what is real and original. A person may get a sex change but that doesn't change the fact that they were once the opposite sex and even with today's medical technology a person's sex can only really be superficially changed. Not 100%. Even if that was possible I still wouldn't do it because it will still be fake and not real in my eyes.

So, trans people are cars now.

You confuse sexual organs with gender.

Aside from that, I cannot oppose your preferences. It's your prerogative.

My only question to you would be:

If they told you they were a post-op transsexual after you'd gone on a few dates (i.e. 4 to 5) and you liked them, would you drop them or keep them?

It will take more than a few dates for me to get to that stage. Besides it is something they should have told me up front. I would take her/him back to the dealership... so to speak. I should have been told up front that the car I bought was a counterfeit.

The car metaphor is really grinding. Please avoid it if at all possible. Comparing a transsexual to a counterfeit car is demeaning. They are not counterfeits - they're the real thing.

You also can't expect them to be straight-up. I mean, it's not exactly an easy topic to bring up and oftentimes transsexuals get persecuted for their beliefs, so you can't blame them for wanting to get to know you a bit.

That would be kind of weird, though, wouldn't it?

"So what do you like?"

"Video games. Did you play the latest Bioshock?"

"Oh, the one in the sky! It was awesome! The sky-hook system was really cool!"

"Yeah! I liked the use of tears in gameplay as well and I used to have a penis."

"I liked the tears- Wait, what?"

I mean, it's not something that fits into regular conversation, and you shouldn't expect them to be super up-front about it. It's their choice when to tell you, and as long as it's not withheld before something major like a proposal/marriage I fail to see the issue.

Yes. I am upfront and honest.

I highly doubt it. If you were a transsexual, you would probably know the immense risk that there is in being so open.

So you are saying that transexuals are dishonest cowards? That is highly insulting. Believe it or not I have a transgender friend who is actually honest about it and even proud of it. He (or she rather) doesn't take shit from anybody.

I doubt your transgender friend makes being transgender a topic of conversation on a first date.

There's being proud of something, and there's being obsessed about it.

For example, I'm proud to be an atheist. This doesn't mean I walk around loudly proclaiming to everyone who speaks to me, "I AM AN ATHEIST! I AM AN ATHEIST!"

See the difference? Your friend is proud of being a transgender, I'm sure, but I doubt he or she brings it up on a first date when there are infinitely more interesting topics to discuss - such as what he/she and his/her date have in common, for example.

 Sure, read into it the wrong way all you want.

Transsexual face an extremely disproportionately high violence rate. Many recognize that a portion of the population - which has a disproportionate representation in the dating field - is against them, and often will show it through violence.
