In my opinion (which is obviously heavily influenced by the fact that I've effectively overdosed on modern philosophy throughout the course of my education--it's my major)...
Life has no objective or universal meaning at all. I agree with Sartre even, that it's ultimately absurd--we need only look at death for the proof. But still, I think that as human beings, we define who we are, and we construct the life that we want, because we are, condemned to be free--nobody can escape the fact that they have complete free choice and will.

Essentially, you attach personal significance to things as a human being, and through this, give your life meaning. Everything is subjective, and above all, that includes the meaning(s) you personally assign to life, and your conscious or subconscious reasons for living. Only you can give your life meaning and purpose, and, let's face it, people are so dynamic that we're constantly redefining who we are and assigning new meanings to life that personally please us.

Besides, no one can take the meaning you give life away from you, if it's your own. The fact that each man is an island has its perks. :p

You life is pointless. Your worthless. The fact you even wake up in the morning makes me sick. You should be ashamed that you even spent your childhood leeching off your parents, further adding to my distaste of your being. Why don't you just end it all? What shred of insignificance keeps you going day after day after pointless day?

As for me however. I kick ass.

Because you are a child of God. I know I am probably going to get made fun of for this, but that's ok with me. Life is a gift granted to us by a loving Heavenly Father who wants nothing more than for us, his children, to be have peace in this life and eternal life and joy in the world to come. Jesus Christ, the son of God, came to this earth to pay the price for our sins so that we might be able to return to live with our Heavenly Father someday. All we have to do is obey the laws and ordinances of the gospel and endure in faith and good works until the end. May I suggest praying to God in the name of Jesus Christ and confiding in him how you are feeling, reading the scriptures e.g. Holy Bible, Book of Mormon etc. and visiting this website: http://www.mormon.org. I know that if you do these things, you will experience joy and will be able to make it through whatever you are going through. God loves you more than you or I will ever have the capacity to understand and his greatest desire is for you to have joy, "Behold, this is my work and my glory, to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man" (Moses 1:39). Take care and I sincerely hope that you will be able to be alright.

Hmmm. If you are sincere about joining the church, then I would recommend not doing things like that. As you are undoubtedly familiar with, the Law of Chastity is a HUGE deal to members and prospective members of the church. Baptism is a very sacred covenant that we make with the Lord and it is ESSENTIAL that we keep that covenant. Missionaries are the Lord's representatives in bringing the gospel to all the earth and are not there for casual interaction or for exposure to overtones. Good luck to you. Let me know what happens, I sincerely want to know.
