Well, I have been in deep thought about life for the past month and I have been wondering: what reason do I have to continue to live? If I were to die it wouldn't have any effect on the space or time. My life means nothing as a whole so why should I continue to live?

To experience life and have a positive effect on the world. Just because you have nothing now does not mean that you'll still have nothing five, ten, twenty, thirty years from now.

As I always tell my depressed friends when talks about suicide come up... Why continue on living? Because life is, despite the hardships, incredibly fun and rewarding.

I'm no physcologist but I'll give it my best shot of talking you out of suicide...

Becuase you may not realize it, but to some people, your live truly does make a differance. Take your family for example. I'm sure unless they are really bad stupid people they love and care for you. Furthermore, your life may make more of a differnace in the futrue. It definately isn't your time until it is your time. Although it may not appear that your life has an impact to anyone, I'm sure it does to someone...

reduce the scope a bit, thinking in big terms when considering your own role in them will usually end up with you feeling pretty insignificant.
Could try making small changes toward a goal you aspire too maybe?
I know when i feel crap it's usually because i forget where i fit in, then i remember with my cups of tea and homemade soup and posting witticism over the net while avoiding work in all forms that appears uneccessary.

You should continue to live if you want to live. Life has no intrinsic meaning, so the meaning you give to it is the only one that has any real effect. If you don't want to live anymore, then kill yourself, if you are so inclined. If you want to continue living, then do so.
