Maybe I should have been more accurate: fetuses are not PEOPLE. They are lumps of parasitic cells that may or may not become actual PEOPLE somewhere in the future.

Thge fact is that when the sperm meets the ovum, the two combine and become a living organism, which is a human child in it's earliest state of development.

"Respect to life" is a very vague statement. Taking into account how debatable the humanity (let alone the personhood) of a fetus is, your "respect to life" could encompass all living creatures, including cattle, crops and vermin.

1) No. Because you would be committing murder against a fellow person. A fetus is not a person.

2) If by "human life" you mean any lump of cells with human DNA, then you should be campaigning against a cure for cancer, against masturbation, against menstruation, and probably against waxing and plucking of body and facial hair.
