it sounds like the two 'witnesses' were the ones that reported this student in. in which, the school's policy may leave them little choice in their course of action. remember, the (Accused) 'faces possible expulsion'. meaning Expulsion is just one of the possible punishments.

You're quite wrong. Most schools don't do anything, infact, my step mother is an elementary school teacher in a title 1 school (a lower socio-economic class school). She says 75% of her job is keeping the kids from killing each other.

Okay, but the two aren't mutually exclusive. Like when the police don't respond to arson calls, but arrest a student for calling the policeman's horse gay (these two actually happened here). I think it's a problem with overregulation, when it's easy to jump down someone's throat for a minor infraction but impossible to sensibly deal with a real problem.

In my experience, young teenagers can go two ways with these things. Either it's a complete effing joke that you'd have to be stupid to take seriously, or the person would act violently.

either way, if it was reported by the students, then the school has to act on it. if it was witnessed by the teachers, then it's really up to them to decide whether or not it's credible.

I swear, I read this as 'faces possible execution'. Whatever, if he didn't want to be expelled he shouldn't be throwing threats around. I have been on the receiving end of such remarks when I was a school and it is never a joke. You can't be too careful these days anyway, a lot of kids are nutjobs. Get rid of him.

Well now the Jones's are bankrupt, they have no assets, no healthcare, no job, and their children go to mediocre sclerotic schools which are really nothing more than detention facilities for hoods. I guess it should be easier to keep up now, eh? But then again, instead of blaming themselves and trying to so something to change everything, they sit and whine and blame others for things beyond their control.
