First of all, define "Tyranny". The only point in history in which I would refer to the U.S. Government as truly Tyrannical is during the Red Scare. Since then, it's been, well, Exploitative. Not Soviet Russia, nor a Fascist state, but certainly not ideal either. I see Government and Corporate power as two equal evils, but that's my idealistic, Anarchist side. My "Practical" goes along with "Fuck it, change is damn near impossible. Might as well run with the system and at least try to improve it, if we had the ability to".

Why are Guns more important than, say, free speech? Now, I'm in favor of the right to bear arms and all, but mostly on a basis of need. i.e., if you live in a shitty, crime-rampant neighborhood, get a 9-mil. If you hunt for a living, get a 30.06. But then again, you can get them on the basis of your own amusement. I must admit, firing guns are fucking fun.
