I get it. You think because he dislikes shit-hop he must be "old". And anyone who is over 30 is pretty much dead anyway right? Everyone over 30 is too old to remeber what it was like to be young and so they keep young people down. Right?
Or maybe your just 15 and because of the way your brain is changing you have a persecution complex. Guess what it passes. Very quickly. Trust me, I'm 17.
Hip-hop has been dead since the late 1990s. Before it got hijacked by pop culture. Now its broken down into two groups. Those who are in it for the money and make their music for MTV so they can sell more records, and the ones who are in it for the money and go for shock value to sell more records.
Don't even get me started on "sampling" aka stealing.
Go listen to some Slayer.

It's a large part of popular hip hop, yet it's not always the best example of decent hip hop out there.
I mean, I'm sure some of the crap that's put out there these days makes Grandmaster Flash (the master of turntablism) cringe. I'm more of an early 80's hip hop fan, when the music was stepping out from the ashes of disco and becoming the force in electronic music. Run DMC, Grandmaster Flash, Queen Latifa, etc. Those acts defined hip hop as something that could affect social change.
Then came MC Hammer...

It's mostly about drugs, how crappy their life is or about buying women. It's really degrating to women.
And I know that all songs repeat the same words, but they don't do it as much as rap does.

I thought we were talking about rap, not mainstream rock. And I know that all songs repeat the same words, but they don't do it as much as rap does.
I wonder if I can find a picture of an ass with words coming out of it.

I know all songs have a chorus. It's just that they repeat the same words 5,000 times in the chorus. And have you listened to any rap songs lately, it's not rock, it's rap.

Name three rap groups or artists you have listened to. Mix and match evenAnd I also have listened to rock music and rap is mostly about drugs and buying women.
Rock is mostly about drugs and degrading women.
Country is mostly about getting drunk and beating your wife/getting beaten by your drunken man.
