I thought the eternal Hip-Hop question was the best way to get rid of it? I'm all for a Final Solution...
The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds.- Carl Sagan

I'm happily impressed by Blueprint 3. I haven't had the chance to give the others a real, hardcore listening, but that in itself says something.

Yeah, too bad it's not quite the same. Run DMC, Will Smith and the like are ok. I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to them, but I wouldn't want to beat someone to death for playing it too loudly on the train.

Hip hop/Rap seems to be going nowhere these days. Alot of senceless bullshit. That is why i stick to older rappers, kanye West is a weirdo. Graduation was totally over rated in my opinion. T.I is alright. He's doing his own thing but it still resembles all those other southern rapper styles. Why the he;; does everyone like Lil wayne so much? WTF is he saying at times..it makes no logical sence. YES the man can rap, but he should do that more than he "UghhgHHH'S" in the microphone. God thats annoying.

Now on a different level. Ludacris has always had flow. Intelligent rymes, his appearance is good. Now ladies and gentleman i saved the best for last, Jay-z's the blue print is amasing. Even though it was produced by Mr.Kanye West (Douchebag). Well done Jay Z, another score for you.

I hate this new age rap, most of it is SHIT..i mean SHIIIIT. I will say again, i stick to old rappers when i choose to listen to it.

Bone Thugz N Harmony
Tupac **Bunch of new music just released, a canadian company bought Death Row records, unreleased tracks are now out there**
Notorious B.I.G
Ice Cube
Dr.Dre
Eminem
Nas
P Diddy **Back when he was Puff Daddy**
Shyne
Kurupt
Busta Rymes
Mobb Deep
Method Man
Redman
Common
Snoop Dogg
Scarface

...it goes on. When a list is posted with some of those albums i will have more of a choice. Have to think a little harder :). Im only 22 but i listen to ALOT of music, from the Big bands of the 30's, Frank Sinatra, Glen Miller, Bing Crosby, to music in the 80's.. KISS, Led Zepplin, ACDC, Hair bands like Dokken, Ratt...ect ect... MUSIC is a big part of my life. I live it.

I never said it was, but it is a large part of hip hop.

It's a large part of popular hip hop, yet it's not always the best example of decent hip hop out there.

I mean, I'm sure some of the crap that's put out there these days makes Grandmaster Flash (the master of turntablism) cringe. I'm more of an early 80's hip hop fan, when the music was stepping out from the ashes of disco and becoming the force in electronic music. Run DMC, Grandmaster Flash, Queen Latifa, etc. Those acts defined hip hop as something that could affect social change.

Then came MC Hammer...

And I've hated rap and hip-hop since I was 12, and am now 15...

Its rather suprising that I hate it considering most hip-hop fans are suburban white kids like me...

Hip Hop and Rap are over 30 so get over yourself. All the current mode of hip/hop and rap produce are Ringtone stars hardly worth oxygen wasted on their pathetic hooks.

I get it. You think because he dislikes shit-hop he must be "old". And anyone who is over 30 is pretty much dead anyway right? Everyone over 30 is too old to remeber what it was like to be young and so they keep young people down. Right?

Or maybe your just 15 and because of the way your brain is changing you have a persecution complex. Guess what it passes. Very quickly. Trust me, I'm 17.

Hip-hop has been dead since the late 1990s. Before it got hijacked by pop culture. Now its broken down into two groups. Those who are in it for the money and make their music for MTV so they can sell more records, and the ones who are in it for the money and go for shock value to sell more records.

Don't even get me started on "sampling" aka stealing.

Go listen to some Slayer.

Hip hop's not my thing. More into classic rock, metal and a fringe taste for European techno.

I beg to differ with regards to certain issues of quality, but its pretty much given that a Radio Artist is total shit. Hip-Hop and Country music were the last holdouts from Whoredom, and both have fallen to the 14 year old white kids. Nothing wrong with that, its just the way music goes.
