I've been thinking of visiting the DPRK for a while. I want to visit the Kumsusan to pay respect to the great leader, Juche Tower, Liberation Monument, Okryu Bridge, and others... It would be great to have a dinner at the Okryugwan. I would also like to watch a football match at the Kim Il-Sung Stadium.

In all out seriousness, I would expect NK to not fire any missiles. The cost of war and lives would be exponential.

NK was just jealous of Iran getting all the attention so they started a hissy fit of their own. Once they get a diaper change they'll calm down and Iran will realize nobody is looking at them anymore and pitch a fit of their own... and the cycle will continue.

Strictly, not a Scud if they want to strike Japan, so this will probably only really be a missile test.

Although this would put almost all of the ROK within range, and could hit Seoul (just) even with shorter ranged models.

I do have to wonder why they keep sending so many missiles and launchers, both valuable resources in themselves, to a single site which is highly publicised in the West.

It's because they have no interest in striking South Korea or Japan, and want to their actions to be highly publicized. They want people to think that they're serious and irrational, and want them to view their threats as legitimate.

I honestly never knew Mongolia was a big food exporter. They were receiving food aid a while back. Can't imagine how generous they could afford to be.

Mongolia has a lot of natural resources, especially minerals. If the Mongolian government plays its cards right, Mongolia might become Central Asia's Norway.

Well, they were cited as 'Scuds'.
If Scud-Cs, they can strike Seoul.
If Scud-Ds, they can strike almost the entire Peninsula.
