Well, considering that NK doesn't even have bullistics capability to reach across half the Pacific, I have my doubts they'll put up any fight besides the initial shelling. i give it four months tops for US-SK joint forces to steamroll the entire NK military. KJU will probably flee like Qadhafi in Libya.
Assuming out of the blue NK achieved able nuclear missiles that could reach America, they'd be bombed to high hell the instant a nuke hit any coastal city, no matter how small. That's how it goes in Nuclear politics; if one country bombs another, the flood gates are open.

China- Possibly with NK, or warring with them

The farthest their missiles can go is Alaska, and they release videos of New York burning, and promising to nuke Washington, and all that. I actually saw one map showing their long-range missiles able to go as far as the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, so I don't know which map to believe.

if North Korea enters South Korea, the U.S. will likely declare war on IT. South Korea shares a relationship with the U.S. that is similar to the one Israel shares with the U.S. if their neighbor(s) declare war on it, the U.S. will likely intervene.

NK probably only has one or two nukes at most. Assuming one of those heads for Seoul, the next most likely targets would be Tokyo or one of the big coastal cities in California, given the range of NK's missiles.

Bear in mind this is assuming they don't malfunction and the US doesn't get wind of the launch and proceed to liberate the launch sites with extreme prejudice.

I agree, thats why I put worst case scenario, saying the worst possible events that could happen.
