No the first time I was in a car and I looked to the side and a truck that was damaged with a yellow tarp was at the side. A couple weeks later I was in my moms car and that car was at the side. Just happens ever since I was 6.

village idiots have, or imagine themselves to have, a vested interest, in discrediting objective honesty.

psychics? sorry, i was reading that as physists. psychics depends on what they claim. the unused portions of the brain could have invisible muscles we know nothing about; connectivity to a non-physical internet, what have you. i'm not too impressed by the pointlessness of spoon bending.

but nonphysical empathic communication is frequently displayed by many life forms.
truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.

Due to personal experiences in my family I believe that foreseeing the future could very well be a real phenomenon, but professional "psychics" are uniformly charlatans.

My personal opinion is when something is so secretive or mysterious we can never verify it when it's part of human society...?

Don't trust it...

It's why I'm critical that some celebrities are even human...
And so it was, that I had never changed.

Probably the worst physic power can't happen when I want it to I mean come on really:(. It's been going on since I was 6, so for 8 or 9 years now, about every couple weeks stuff happens in real life that it did in the dream, but only about 5-15 sec's though.

Psychics were always interesting entertainment to me. I don't think I ever once believed they knew what to say as opposed to guessing it but I don't see why they should be hated and ridiculed as some seem to suggest. Those who sell their "ability" for amusement should be treated like any other entertainer while those who constantly harrass and strike fear into paranoid people should be treated as any other con-artist.

I know that NS is often critical of religion due to it's lack of scientific evidence (or so people think), but what are your thoughts on "Professional psychics" and their businesses. Are they people exploiting human superstition in order to turn a profit, and if their businesses are scams, should they be illegal? Or are they really blessed individuals with extraordinary powers?

I personally remain extremely skeptical about it, as not much scientific evidence has come forth suggesting some people are born with supernatural abilities while others are not.

It's obvious bollocks, but as far as I'm concern, it's like paying for a magic show. So, if it makes people happy...

then heroin may be the solution.
And it doesn't make people happy in the long run it makes them more messed up.

Heroin places an enourmous burden on the health system, what do psychics do that warrants them being treated as heroin dealers?

Source that anyone who visits a psychic becomes more messed up?

As long as scammers are weeded out from this particular industry, I don't get why it shouldn't be allowed to exist.

The service they sell is your entertainment. It's like the gambling industry; it's intended for entertainment purposes but inevitably some people abuse it and try to make a living off their betting. As long as people understand that they are only buying their entertainment and the vendor doesn't deceive gullible people into a reading against their wishes, we have no problems. .

As an aspiring criminologist that is interested in white-collar crime, I can conclude that psychics most certainly are a scam.

Contrary to the propaganda, we live in probably the least materialistic culture in history. If we cared about the things of the world, we would treat them quite differently. We would be concerned with their materiality. We would be interested in their beginnings and their ends, before and after they left our grasp.

or offers you life advice from the other side, or investment advice, or tells you they can heal your cancer. The saddest are the ones that get people hooked so they call their psychic dozens of times a day.
then you get the ones that sue people for pointing out their scam.
