No but seriously....

You just gotta capture those few psychic moments ya have (a feeling similar to those gut feelings, or those premonitions that end up being correct) and say to your self "ima psychic" or do something of the like. Some people are stronger psychics than others

Me? Pretty damn weak psychic

Although i DID predict 3 earthquakes and 4 fire alarm malfunctions correctly :0 thats why i believe :0 it was COOL >:D :3

But all the tarot cards and crystal balls are nothing more than crap.

I have predicted (in a dream) the name and hair color, (and I have even got her face quite right) of a new teacher in school, when I was eight, yet I didn't believe it was supernatural for a moment. My theory was that I saw her somewhere on the street ( lived in a fairly small town) had heard her name mentioned, and you pretty much can tell both newcomers to a city and teachers by sight, and I put it together in my dreams. I do believe subconscious reasoning is very powerful, but nowhere supernatural. ( I tend to guess results of chemistry problems and then just explain my solution later on.) As for earthquakes, you are probably a very perceptive person who is sensitive to magnetic shifts( like cats and many other animals are), which tend to precede storms and earthquakes. Were there any storms within a few days or so before the mentioned fire alarms went wrong? Because storms can wreck cheap electronics pretty well.

or he is just remembering wrong or as it sounds he lives in a earthquake prone area and is remembering the hits and not the misses.
I think we risk becoming the best informed society that has ever died of ignorance. ~Reuben Blades

I got quite annoyed after the Haiti earthquake. A baby was taken from the wreckage and people said it was a miracle. It would have been a miracle had God stopped the earthquake. More wonderful was that a load of evolved monkeys got together to save the life of a child that wasn't theirs. ~Terry Pratchett

And your evidence for this claim...?
The tarot cards are a device that can be reasonably accurate given the right interpretation of the card meaning,

Yes, if you twist the meanings, you can fit them to reality. That goes to the creativity of tarot card readers, not the accuracy of the magic of decks of cards.
but the crystal ball is little more than decorative for them.

I find it wonderfully amusing when psychic believers arbitrarily pick magic they're sceptical of.

I would just say that is my belief, and yes, I still consider it a pseudoscience if only for the fact that a cold reading in a large room full of people is sure to a response.

Better yet, if they exist - get them to actually do something that doesn't amount to cold reading.
Better yet - have them win a million dollars from James Randi.
Better yet - have them come public. Have them predict things like 9/11 and the haiti earthquake rather than scrape by doing things any cold reader could do.

The world put into trouble by three brothers,
Immediately a huge, scattered flame leaps up.
Thus little by little will the great ones will be angered.

Mostly it's hokum, but I also think there are some people without formal credentials who are good listeners, would be good counselors, who can get people talking, and who have an intuition about what to say. My hunch is that some oracles were like that. Nothing magical about it.

The two should be incompatible. If you're going to peddle "water has memory" bollocks, you should any advanced degrees unless you can provide evidence that will rock physics to its very foundations.

That would be why we use seismographs instead of chihuahuas.

How exactly do you determine this? What is it that birds do that indicates an oncoming earthquake? How is that different from what they normally do?

Or pet owners employ confirmation bias and attribute their pet's behaviour to prediction rather than just them fucking about.

And supposing that's true, so what?

So ok here I am to set you right. Although I'm not enjoying it too much, but I feel obligated to do so.
Pigeons are known to behave unusually before earthquakes just google it, confirming data is everywhere.Behavior: flying around short distances for no reason, jumping back and forth anxiously, constant looking around, things like that.

I am given to understand that pigeons have some kind of magnetic sense, that being how they navigate. At least, I heard it somewhere. How is that predicting earthquakes? If earthquakes can be predicted by changes in the local magnetic field, why do we not do that?

As to googling for support for your claims, no thanks. You can support them yourself or not, but I don't think I'm going to do it for you.

You obviously never went near a radar station, a tesla coil or something like that.

Not that I'm aware of.
Strong electromagnetic fields and radiation can be felt even by us humans, whose perception is otherwise so much built around the sole idea of vision.

As before, do please support these assertions of yours.
And whats supposing? Haven't you learned geography in school? The earth has a molten metal core. Spinning molten metal generates a magnetic field. I saw the frigging experiment on tv. Its well proven. Wiki stuff about astronomy and rock planets, ask your high school physics teacher. Whatever.

Supposing that earthquakes have enough of an impact on the local magnetic field for animals who can perceive such things to sense the difference. So? That's not predicting an earthquake, that's feeling it when it happens.

Radar stations: Personal frigging experience.

I have personal experience of the surface of Pluto.
You have no knowledge of basic science yet you continuously attack me with "scientific" grounds. I'm going to study chemical engineering next year I know friggin science.

I've won 15 Nobel Prizes for doing science.
Your nerves are complex electrochemical devices. Electrochemical processes as their name implies are influenced by electricity and electromagnetic radiations and fields create minute amounts of electricity, (which have effect on your nerve chemistry) via induction and excitement, of course your nerves pick them up.

Sounds plausible. Plausible isn't the same as true, though. Surely if this is such basic science you'll be able to find evidence of it happening.

And again. Suppose people and animals can feel the fluctuations in the local magnetic field supposedly caused by earthquakes. How is that predicting earthquakes and not just feeling them as they happen?
