Oh cool :) she has come to my town a couple times too. Jane Goodall is awesome. Yes environmentalism is important: Trashing the earth is like pooping on your kitchen table. And legal rights for primates now! End primate vivisection!

People should do everything Jane Goodall says.

Yeah but then she gave that diamond to the refugee chimpanzee so he could make a better life for himself and his family proving she had a conscience after all.

I've met her, she's very nice, I did some pro bono (or pro bonobo?) work for her in China.

No, actually - I spent about 20 minutes trying to find anything even mentioning it as a controversy.

And, in the end, it wasn't my claim, so I figured I'd wait for the person who claimed it, to source it.

But - why would it be bad to check just a couple of sources for SOMEONE ELSE's story?
