Oh, please...unless you're going to start killing gays in your front yard AND think that's ok, don't throw out Leviticus at me.

But, to your Leviticus 20:13 I say Leviticus 11:9-12:

9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

I’d prefer Cypra Mundii’s answer on this.

If eir answer is Leviticus, then I’d ask why the majority of the laws in Leviticus (such as not wearing cloths with mixed fabric, the food commandments, various orders to stone people, etc.) are not followed. I’d also note that what’s forbidden in Leviticus is male-male sex, not same-sex marriage.

Why shouldn't same-sex couples be allowed to marry? They are people and they are in love, it should be recognised by law. Marriages only exist because they were once like business transactions. They are not anymore, they are about confirming two peoples' love for each other.

Because Mr. Wuffles and I have been committing adultery behind your back for the past fifteen years.

That's why you can't, simple logic.

The funny thing is, even if it still was merely a business transaction it would STILL make sense. I think its just the Christians trying to show others they are still relevant (in terms of power) i would bet you Buddhists wouldn't be pulling this kind of crap.

Common sense? Hm... I'm not sure many political movements are driven by common sense these days.

Bowel movements, on the other hand, are generally far more useful AND are typically driven by common sense.

Do you... normally find dogs in hamburgers?

I mean... Not that I'm judging here. I myself have partaken of a burger once that I strongly suspect was once a mutt of some kind, and frankly, it was quite good...

Ascon is obviously trolling though, if he isn't all i can say is that in the case of eating meat, it different because Men should be allowed to "survive". If somehow gay marriage caused you to die, then you'd have a point. But it doesnt and you dont.

You have to keep in mind that in Homophobeland, marriage is not a mutual agreement between two fully aware and consenting individuals. After all, the Bible is pretty clear on the fact that female human beings are supposed to be sold into marriage, or at the very least are to simply go quietly when their male owner informs them that they have been traded in exchange for goats/sheep. A Biblical marriage is one in which a male person owns a female person as his unpaid domestic and sexual servant.

Consent is pretty irrelevant in that world.
