okay, those against gay marriage, please show me quantifiable effects of how two guys marrying has hurt your marriage? Pics or it didn't happen.

My wife saw two guys making out and became obsessed with yaoi. She won't make me sandwiches or get back in the kitchen, she just keeps staring at her gay porn. Gay men have ruined my marriage. If they are allowed to marry and thus given an equal status in our society, there will be a greater toleration of gay PDA leading to more gay PDA and more obsessed housewives who won't make sandwiches for their god-fearing and hard-working menfolk.

EDIT: I'd give you pics but my wife is on the computer staring at naked men having gay sex. Sorry.

Could you explain how same sex marriage is an “advantage”? It’s just getting the rights that opposite sex couples already have.

And you do realise that it’s possible to modify that one out to a race issue, by changing “Homosexuality is” to “Blacks are” and “same-sex” to “interracial”...

No, it’s paradox not dividing by zero. A paradox is anything that is only true if it’s false and vice versa.

I hear a lot of asking anti-gay marriage to give reasons why they are against. I'd be interested to hear why some of you are pro-gay marriage.

I am refering to the internet slang, when a paradox happens, the common response is "HOLY SHIT! WHO DIVIDED BY ZERO!" this is used because you can not divide by zero and the joke is if you did, the world would implode.

easy, I am gay. I am a US citizen. I vote in every election. I pay my taxes. I salute the flag. Yet, if I wanted to marry the love of my life, I am denied that right and the benefits that the US goverment grants marriages (Tax status, power of attorney, inheritance, etc) solely because the person I love has a penis, testicles, and XY chromosomes.

To say I choose to be gay is a laughable lie. I know I was gay in elementary school, no joke.

Everyone is equal, which means they should have equal rights.

Unless they're me. In which case they should have godlike powers and the ability to turn into a dragon. And diplomatic immunity.

On top of the fact it's unconstitutional not to treat gay couples the same as straight couples, the fact there is no rational non-religious reason to making them illegal is enough cause in this country to legalize them. You don't have to have a reason to give people rights in the United States.

But, if you want a more emotional reason- gay people deserve the right to marry (or be joined in a civil union, whatever) with the person they love- and not only because that's what people who love each other do but because there are legal structures that come with being legally joined. For instance, when my partner broke his arm riding his bicycle a few months ago, I literally had to scream at a nurse to let me into see him after his surgery. You see, I'm not his family legally, so they didn't have to let me in. It was one of the most horrible experiences I had ever had. If we had been married or civilly unioned or anything else recognized by the state they wouldn't have been able to prevent me from seeing him for even a minute. But, in Kansas, all such unions are unconstitutional because of a state constitutional amendment passed in 2005.

There are tax benefits, too.

But, really, beyond all that, the fact there is no rational legal reason he and I should be denied civil recognition we should be. I have no desire to make a church perform my marriage- that would be unconstitutional, too, but the state shouldn't discriminate against me because some people just don't like it.

Why am I pro-gay marriage? Well, not really "pro-gay"... since my viewpoint is based upon equal protection and access and not the exaltation of one over another....

-Homosexuals Lesbians should have the same legal framework available to them in the context of their partnerships as all other citizens.... This construct should be the same as / equal to the heterosexual format in civil law presently called 'marriage'...

Really nothing past that, since I am a heterosexual (married) Christian American Citizen... My sole goal is to fight towards granting others the same rights/privileges I enjoy...

and we thank you for it. I don't care if you think gay marriage is icky, but I applaud that you understand its unchristian to deny someone their rights

Partially true. I have never lived in America (if that is what you are assuming), and have grown in a liberla environment. I have no idea why I am conservative, I just am. It seems right.
