That's fun.

Typical. Progressive society means big government. And like all of you statist types, your big government dream leads to wasting the taxpayer's money by spending on pork.

I prefer the structure of internet debates to formal debates - this way you can rebut an argument point by point and completely demolish it (assuming you have the facts to back it up).

Negative 1: 2,500 word 'speech'

Well, there's a possible structure. I'd greatly prefer it if you already knew about policy debate. Also, we'd need a judge (maybe even 3) that all participants agree on. Once we've got people, we can decide on a resolution, and a date.

no cross examination?

I guess we could, but that would greatly slow it down, and it would be hard to determine how long it could go. If you had to ask questions, and respond, it would take awhile, especially if you were doing a full cross-examination.
If you ever have an RPing question, please TG me about it.

I wouldn't be able to conscience having such a debate when i have other things i should be doing. That and i don't have the time or care enough to write that much.
and it would depend on the topic too.

Oh, I can always increase the word count. Does a couple thousand sound better?

THERE CAN NEVER BE ENOUGH WORDS!

Clearly you've never tried to get a paper published. Nor have you reviewed one...
