Melbourne Cup 2009

Postby Peisandros » Mon Nov 02, 2009 3:22 pm

Who ya got? I'm going to being making a sizable investment on the Cup, just finalising which horses I'm going to include in my trifecta.

I love Cup day. It's a shame I have an exam in three days, because a few beers would not go amiss. Plus it's a beauty of a day here, great for watching races.

Note, poll is based on the top eight favoured horses according to the TAB at time of posting!

BoF31 runner up. WC44 Second round. CoH37 co-host and runner up. DBC9 third. DBC10 third. WC47 Second round.

I'm not interested in the cup, the only thing that interests me is that I have a public holiday today. :palm:

I forgot the cup even existed, even though I'm currently lounging around thanks to the holiday.

God, you must be an absolute joy to be around - your enthusiasm for life is just shining through atm...

Anywho, haven't picked a particular horse this year (waiting for the office sweeptakes) but I'll be watching for sure.

Yeah I've included Alcopop in my trifecta. I'm finding it hard to look past the Bart Cummings factor though, plus I've a little bias towards Daffodil the NZ horse.

As soon as i looked at the Lineup i got a Funny feeling about Roman Emperor and i thought maybe i will bet on this one. I went onto TAB bets online and place $20 on Roman Emperor. I have high hopes as i have seen this horse somewhere before and i think he could win or place.

I don't care what you think of him or if he watches the Melbourne Cup or not. The rules say don't flame another poster and, brother, that could be considered as one. As for free speech and other slogans, I direct you to the point in fact that you have none here. This is a private server owned by Max Barry (In Whom We Trust) and HE has noted that this is his own private Father Knows Best State.

Again, knock it off.

I would place a horse(s) in I can come up with a few trainers, jockeys etc as well as placing history behind them, provided you do it about a month from now, I am leaving NSG and going to spend more of my time in RP again. Let me know, but I do think that not many posters will be into it.

Sounds great Newmanistan, would be very keen!

Blouman it's very big here. Especially in the student capital of NZ, we go crazy.

As for my results, I walked away with about a $50 gain.. Had 5 e/w on Shocking and 5 for a place on Mourilyan - especially happy with that!
