Look at pictures from 1950's and today. Blacks dressed nicer back then. I am guessing they spoke better English and listened to more appropriate music back then also. They might have been poorer but on average they acted more dignified. We can say the same things for whites and hispanics as well of 1950 and today.

All matters of personal taste. There is nothing dignified about lynching, or having separate-and-inferior versions of everything.

Sure you could. And without packaged food, modern medicine, manufactured clothing? Having only stone and bone tools to do everything? I think not.

Why not? Learn to be self-sufficient, be much less lazy, and, whilst living a shorter life, probably find more enjoyment and fulfilment in it.

I read a story about a family in Indiana that is almost 100% self-sufficient. They are happy and live simply. Agree with other posters here, you can live simply of you want. It is very easy to do. Start with cutting out internet, phone, and cable. Grow a garden. Take baby steps from there towards self-sufficiency (start small in case you hate it).

I like simple living but I also like being able to work for 1 hour and having enough to buy a shirt. If I tried to sew a shirt myself, it woukd take me many hours. Division of labor has benefits as well.

Good, I agree. That is the free market approach to solving complaints and better than a new govt. law and probably more effective. I was taught early 'don't like something, don't buy it.' I agree with this statement. Let individuals make their choices on who to buy from. It is a reason I find it funny that anti-Chinese people will often buy products made in China (liberals that cry about Chinese companies mistreating their workers often do as well).
