It's a natural psychological defense mechanism she's exploiting, though. People become defensive at the mere suggestion that a position theoretically compatible with theirs is wrong, and when they get defensive they back further and further away from sanity in an effort to "win." It's why we have creationists getting anything aside from mass ridicule. People become offended at the idea that parts of their religion might be wrong and wind up defending things they know are stupid.

How the Hell is Clinton a rapist?? I guess she was just referring to the way Conservatives like her feel whenever he or Hillary walk into the same room as them.
Btw, Fluke's feeling 'entitled' to birth control is a moral discussion that we could have (but hopefully won't right now) for the rest of eternity, but I know nobody should be receiving the kind of verbal beating she has gotten from the "followers of Christ." It's just immoral, and if Jesus were alive, he would call Coulter a Pharisee.
And Christie is the coolest Republican out there, so I don't even get what she's trying to do saying stuff like that about him.

Excuse me? What part of my religion is "stupid"? If ANYTHING in my religion were "stupid" I'd change it. >:(

Christianity is not necessarily stupid. Willful ignorance of the scientific and historic fact of evolution is.

If she's anything like other right-wing pundits people don't even buy her books because they agree with her. Various right-wing organizations buy her books because they want to push them to the top of the best-seller lists and make it look like they have more support than they do.

Which makes right-wing media all the more hilarious.
Crimes committed by Muslims will be a pan-Islamic plot and proof of Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of loners who do not represent their belief system at all.
The probability of one's participation in homosexual acts is directly proportional to one's public disdain and disgust for homosexuals.
If a political figure makes an accusation of wrongdoing without evidence, odds are probable that the accuser or an associate thereof has in fact committed the very same act, possibly to a worse degree.
Where is your God-Emperor now?
