Personally, I don't much like the idea of a giant free-for-all. The spirit of cooperation, peace, and mutual benefit sounds a lot more pleasant and much more beneficial in the long run than everyone grabbing the nearest bit of rock and bashing each other's teeth in. A civil and just rule of law seems a lot better for everyone than "I'm the toughest, so what I say goes no matter what."
