Really? Since in the Koran (Written in the Middle Ages) this land is called Israel. And by the Ottomans: South Syria.
Only the Britons have decided to re-use the name "Palestine" used by the Romans in order to oppress the Jews after the Bar Kokhba revolt.

It is an example, an analogy. The Englishmen themselves are descendants of immigrants dating back at least one thousand and six hundred years ago. They were not the indigenous population, but imperialists (hell, colonists!).

Most Welsh have been in exile, but since its the past and it is now English land by right of conquest...
