Actually, the entire world used to call that area Palestine untill Israel got its independence. It started with the Romans.
Really? Since in the Koran (Written in the Middle Ages) this land is called Israel. And by the Ottomans: South Syria.
Only the Britons have decided to re-use the name "Palestine" used by the Romans in order to oppress the Jews after the Bar Kokhba revolt.

There have been several naming periods of the Ottomans but nevermind.
The point is that- a place's name is chosen by it's native people- and we are the indinigous people, and we call this place Israel ->PalesinteThe Land of Israel
