Living in Ireland at the moment, and in a scenario as mentioned in the OP I might consider returning to Canada (I lived there for a short time before and rather liked it).
Although considering that I'm married to an Englishman, chances are I'll find my self back in the UK - it's closer and makes more sense economically.

Either way I'll be sorry to leave the EU behind.

If I had to leave, I'd go to Croatia. Generous people, most beautiful country I've ever seen and many, many things you can do.

So, lets say something happened where you live and you have to leave your country. A fascist take over. It imploded. You just got tired of being there. Where would you go? Why would you go there?

I for one, do not see myself leaving even in the worst times. But if I had to I think I would go to Scotland. For no other reason than I have long lost ancestors from hundreds of years ago from there. It is also a modern nation. Beautiful land and a rich culture. So, yeah I would likely go to Scotland.

I have also considered Canada, Australia, England, France and even Kenya. But as much as I like these options I would pick Scotland most likely. Although the French Foriegn Legion does sound awesome.

I suppose Canada since it seems close. I rather not move to a nation in which I do not speak the official and/or dominant language. At least one of the dominant languages. Though Canada sounds boring as do all the English speaking countries :|

The rest of my top ten choices, in really no particular order, would be China [Hong Kong], United Kingdom [Primarily for England or Falklands], Austria, South Korea, Finland, New Zealand, Botswana, Sweden, South Africa, or Argentina. Though, I am not really sure any of them are very open to immigration.
