4. Prosecution rates are low because women either don't report, the police are assholes, the defense makes her look like a slut...

Men get raped too, and they have their own set of problems. But most rape victims are women, and most rapists are men.

So simply because the majority of victims are women it's a womens' rights issue? Then all crimes in which the majority of victims are women should be womens' rights issues.

...yes?

I'm not sure what you think a "women's rights issue" is such that "crimes that disproportionately affect women are issues that people concerned with women's rights might want to address" is supposed to be some kind of ridiculous statement.

'Most rape victims are women'. In light of both the overwhelmingly male prison system, similar social stigma against men coming out as having been raped (Although with separate justifications), and the aforementioned only recently changed definition of rape (Originally it was "the carnal knowledge of a female, forcibly and against her will."), it would seem to me that asserting that one sex is raped more than the other is not necessarily helpful and possibly untrue.

Prison rape is different to out of prison rape and you can't compare them since they happen for completely different reasons. I'm not saying that prison rape isn't a problem - it is. It just has no place in a discussion about how men are told it's okay to rape.

Prison rapes. Which are committed by men. Who rape men for largely the same reasons they rape women. Hence addressing this issue without fussing about to change the verbiage to match EVERYONE's specific tastes will improve this situation as well.
