Let me correct you: The current inhabitants of the Malvinas aren't the original citizens of the islands so the UN treaty of self determination doesn't apply in this case.

If they wanted to be Argentinean then they would have done so, they are HAPPY under British Rule, and if Argentina wants them. THEN COME AND GET THEM AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS, UK CRUSHED Argentina before and they will do it again if needed.

Hopefully their navy will be up to it, should it happen again. Like most nations, the Brits cut military funding when possible. Always in the vain hope that trouble will not raise it's ugly head...at least until they get re-elected.

No. 1 Carrier is in active service as a Helicopter Carrier, 2 are decomissioned but can be recomissioned in emergancy situations and HMS Ocean can be equipped with Aircraft if necessary.

Helicopters that wouldn't do a great deal against any sort of mild air defense. HMS Ocean cannot operate aircraft, only ferry them.
