Best Western Government?

Which Western (European/Hemisphere) Government structure is the best and/or works the most efficiently in theory and in practice?

EDIT: Because of the extreme outpouring for Switzerland and Sweden I have added them as separate options in the poll to get more accurate results. You may change your vote from "other" if you meant to select Switzerland or Sweden.

IF YOU VOTED IN THE ORIGINAL POLL PLEASE RE-SUBMIT YOUR ANSWERS.

No government can be seen as the 'best'. Each has good qualities, though each has bad qualities that cannot make it the best. Though if I had to pick, I'd say France, just because I like france.

"Best" is a personal/opinionated qualifier. Each person has a bias, and that bias would in turn label it as "best".

EDIT: Even though I am an American citizen, I would vote Germany. I find their system of federalism very well balanced, and the voting process for admittance to the Bundestag is a benchmark of representative democracy (party voting = proportionate representation in the legislature)

I voted France, it seems to be rather efficient, and responds well to crises...US comes close but our intense partisanship tends to drag us down...

Do you not find France's government rather tumultuous and prone to restructure too easily? A country cannot run efficiently if the government may be ousted at any time in a vote of "no confidence". Your president is too afraid of being ousted for unpopular agendas to really ever get anything done.

In Sweden the streets are too clean, it is kind of scary. So I can't vote for them. Because they're scary, Swedish robot people.

I vote for Britain. British political dramas tend to be more interesting than their counterparts in other countries, and I kind of wish America had an official royal family so I could bitch and moan about America having an official royal family. Really, I think that it would be a great thing to be perpetually angry and borderline treasonous about.

No, no, no, no, NO! I'm going to attract a metric ton of flame here, but the US's government isn't the best. If you get sick, and you don't pay insurance companies, they will leave you to die. Sure, private health care is apparently 'better' than universal healthcare, but only if you can afford it. If you're unemployed, you're screwed in America. What sort of country can be seen to have the best government if it leaves people to die over matters of money?

I voted for Germany because of the structure of their state, since that is the government, but Denmark and Sweden have better policies. The best.

Basic problems with the US:
1. Undemocratic Senate
2. First past the post, single member districts create two party system
3. Electoral college
4. Nobody cares about the constitution, even while we fetishize the founders.
