rapists are more deserving, obv, but if personal safety is a serious everyday consideration and the risk to other people is small then i could see a rationale for some people owning guns.

i don't think normal people in cities are in that grave a danger, not enough to warrant giving them a weapon that could itself be used to harm others. or enough to escalate the severity of existing violence

If you look at the Harvard study that your source cites, it says the opposite, but good try.

And I'm not even going to begin to address the idiocy required to believe that NDAA limited Civil Rights, when, in fact it was a military funding bill with a ludicrously venomous rider attached that Obama had to sign or be labeled as anti-military, and it actually limited the rights of the government that were granted under that there Patriot Act.

Ok, hold on, lemme just clarify that ASSAULT RIFLES ARE ILLEGAL. An AR-15 is simply a semi automatic, .223 caliber rifle. There are far more powerful hunting rifles. Liberals just fear them because they are "scary".
